The setup, one step at a time
Open the App Store
It waits on the home screen of an Apple TV, and it is the familiar App Store icon on an iPhone or iPad.
Choose a player
Look up IPTV Smarters Player, iPlayTV or GSE Smart IPTV and install one. Smarters costs nothing; the other two ask a one-time price. Anything labelled TiviMato or Tivimax is not TiViMate, so leave those where they are.
Sign in with your details
In the app, take the Xtream Codes option and put in the username, password and server address. On an iPhone every field can be pasted from the WhatsApp thread, which keeps typos out of it.
Reach for AirPlay if it suits
An iPhone can AirPlay a channel to an Apple TV or any AirPlay set in the room, a neat move for a television you would rather leave without an app of its own.
When something will not play
The channel list loads but nothing plays
A few channels ride on codecs Apple hardware only decodes once the correct engine is picked. Open the app settings, change the player engine to VLC or FFmpeg, and they start up.

Is there IPTV Smarters for Apple TV?
There is, free on the tvOS App Store, and the Xtream login, guide, catch-up and on-demand shelves all work in it. TiViMate, to say it plainly, is not on Apple TV, whatever the copycat listings would suggest.
Can I watch GaroxTv on my Mac?
Three routes are open: the IPTV Smarters Player from the Mac App Store, the M3U link opened in VLC or IINA, or the browser player. Each one is walked through in the Windows and Mac guide.
