The setup, one step at a time
Option A: the Smarters desktop app
Download the Windows or macOS installer from the IPTV Smarters site, install it, open it, and take Login with Xtream Codes API before entering your three values. Of the three, this comes closest on a computer to how it behaves on a television.
Option B: VLC and the M3U link
With VLC already on the machine, press Ctrl+N (Cmd+N on a Mac), paste the M3U link and hit Play. Ctrl+L brings up the playlist pane so you step through channels by group instead of guessing at names.
Option C: the browser player
Open the web player address from your activation message in Chrome or Edge, then sign in. With nothing to install and nothing to configure, it is the quickest possible check that an account is actually live.
When something will not play
VLC opens the playlist but nothing plays
It is still grinding through a very large file. Wait for the playlist pane to stop growing before you click, then double-click a channel. If one will not start, reach for its HD or SD twin before you conclude anything is wrong.
