The setup, one step at a time
Fetch the right build
Phones and Android TV pull it from Google Play. A Firestick wants the Downloader sideload spelled out in the Firestick guide. Samsung and LG list it as "IPTV Smarters" in their own stores, Apple calls it "IPTV Smarters Player", and the desktop installers sit on the developer site.
Take the Xtream Codes route
Clear the terms on the first screen and choose Login with Xtream Codes API. Skip the M3U alternative unless support has steered you there, because the Xtream route drags the guide and on-demand library along with it and M3U frequently will not.
Key in your details
Any profile name will do, followed by the username, password and server URL with its http:// and port exactly as WhatsApp sent them. Tap Add User.
Give the guide a moment
It starts pulling channels, on-demand titles and the programme data. The guide in particular can take a few minutes to settle, so do not write it off in the first half-minute. While you are in Settings, EPG, switch on "Enable EPG on live TV" so it shows over a playing channel.
Choose the decoder
Head to Settings, Player settings and select the built-in player on hardware decoding. Should a lone channel stutter while everything else is smooth, flip that one channel to software decoding from its player menu instead of touching the global setting.
When something will not play
"Your account is expired"
That message is the plan hitting its end date, not a bug in the app. Renew over WhatsApp and the same credentials wake up again within minutes, with nothing to reinstall and no settings lost along the way.
Channel list is empty after login
Swipe down to refresh, then sign out and back in. If it stays bare, the server address has a fault in it, and nine times out of ten the port number is the piece that is wrong.
App keeps closing on Firestick
Empty its cache under Settings, Applications, Manage installed applications, and reopen it. If it still bails out, delete it and put on a current build, since an ageing APK on newer Fire OS is a common trigger.
